Another eventful day unfolded as Bwana Mkumbwa Member of Parliament Hon Warren Mwambazi participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a Police post in Kantolomba ward, funded by the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), alongside hundreds of community members.
The construction project is being undertaken by Accient Industries and is scheduled to be completed within a timeframe of four months, bringing a sense of security to the residents of Kantolomba and potentially reducing the crime rate in the area significantly.
Hon Mwambazi emphasized the importance of safeguarding the newly constructed property from vandalism, urging the community to take responsibility for protecting the investment made through the CDF, which could have otherwise been utilized for other developmental initiatives.
Furthermore, he stressed the significance of cooperation between the community and the police, highlighting that law enforcement officers are not adversaries but individuals entrusted with the crucial task of upholding law and order within the community.
In conclusion, Hon Mwambazi expressed gratitude towards the government for promoting decentralization, enabling communities to have a say in determining their priorities and needs, a move that has empowered the people to actively participate in decision-making processes.
