THE Zambia Army Commander Lieutenant General Sitali Dennis Alibuzwi has today promoted the Music Director of the Defence and Security Choir, Warrant Officer Class Two (WOII) Lombe Davies to Warrant Officer Class One (WOI).
Adorning Lombe with the prestigious Senior Non-Commissioned Rank at Army Headquarters in Lusaka today, the Army Commander said he recognises and appreciates his contribution to the success of the Defence and Security Choir.
General Alibuzwi lauded the newly promoted WOI for his consistence and dedication to the Choir. He urged him to continue serving the Lord God with passion.
WOI Lombe, a gospel lead vocalist, song writer and composer, is also the Music Director for the United Church of Zambia (UCZ) Acts Church Choir in Kanyama, Lusaka. Common songs to his name include ‘Nchito yanga’, ‘Shisuke’ and ‘Mukasungane Zambia’ among others.
