During his visit to Luapula Province, Acting Auditor General Dr. Ron Mwambwa paid a respectful visit to the Permanent Secretary.
In their meeting, Dr. Mwambwa informed Mr. Mighty Mumba that he was conducting inspections of CDF projects and the distribution of school requisites to schools, among other responsibilities.
Dr. Mwambwa emphasized that his main objective was to ensure that resources were being used appropriately and effectively, with a focus on achieving value for money.
He expressed his commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of citizens through the audits conducted, particularly the CDF audits, which aimed to enhance the well-being of the people.
Mr. Mumba, the Permanent Secretary, expressed his satisfaction with the presence of the Auditor General in Luapula Province.
He appreciated the opportunity for Dr. Mwambwa to witness firsthand how the CDF funds were being utilized in the province.
Mr. Mumba also mentioned the existence of a provincial oversight committee, which he chaired, and highlighted that audit matters were closely monitored by this committee.
This demonstrated the commitment of the provincial government to ensuring transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.
