President Hakainde Hichilema has issued a stern warning to livestock thieves, emphasizing that they will face severe consequences upon apprehension.
During the New Year celebrations at Masuku Grounds in Choma, the Head of State issued a cautionary message.
President Hichilema emphasized that he was the one responsible for the law amendment regarding livestock thefts. He warned that anyone caught stealing goats or cattle would face a 14-year imprisonment, and upon their release, they would discover their wife had four children from another man. He urged people to cease stealing livestock and acknowledged that he had given them fair warning.
The President emphasized the importance of citizens capitalizing on the favorable business and political conditions in the country and encouraged them to persistently strive for success.
