Some illegal training institutions have been offering acceptance letters to unsuspecting students to apply for bursary under the Constituency Development Fund -CDF-.
This has been disclosed by Technical Education, Vocational Entrepreneurship Training Authority -TEVETA Director General CLEOPHAS TAKAIZA.
Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka today, Mr TAKAIZA said TEVETA has commenced legal proceedings against some illegal training institutions.
Among the institutions found wanting is Pascal Operators Training Institute, Kaprob Operators Training Institute and Excavator Operators Training Centre located in Ndola.
Mr TAKAIZA said TEVETA is concerned with the mushrooming of unregistered training institutions whose sole aim is to benefit from the skills training component under the CDF-.
He has since appealed to the public to verify the legality of training institutions before enrolling for training programmes as their qualifications will not be recognised.
