THE Zambia Correctional Service is currently conducting a manhunt for one of the three remand suspects who abducted Pamela Chisumpa and 12 other ‘girls’ after a prison break that occurred in Mwembeshi last month.

According to a News Diggers investigation, Correctional Officers managed to shoot dead one of the abductors while the other fell and sustained a fractured backbone as he attempted to flee during the prison break that has been kept under wraps by authorities.

Joseph Mulenga, Matthews Sikaonga and an unnamed third suspect were remanded at Mwembeshi Maximum Correctional facility awaiting trial in the High Court.

The suspects were arrested and charged with 53 counts of aggravated robbery, abduction, assault, and rape, among other offences for their role
