An Association of Rwandan Refugees in Zambia is concerned with the killing of Rwandese who have sought asylum in SADC countries, Zambia inclusive by suspected death squadrons deployed all over the territorial space of the block.

The Former and Current Rwandan Refugees Association in Zambia says the killing of Nshuti Vedaste, a Rwandan refugee and businessman in Chibombo District on 27th October 2022 is shockingly outrageous as it happened barely a few weeks after another refugee was killed in similar circumstances in Chongwe District.

Association National Coordinator Innocent Rukundo says Rwandan refugees in SADC countries, particularly Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and South Africa, have for a long time been subjected to extra-judicial killings which unfortunately have gone without proper investigations.
