With almost 50 golf courses dotted around the country and several other private ones, Zambia is well placed to run a tour or league if you like. We can target the young especially those in schools.

We have to start looking at things differently going forward. The Zambia Golf Union will have to change direction and open up the sport a lot more.

Most of the courses lack maintenance, which maintenance can be achieved if a well thought through plan is worked on and implemented.

My fear is that if nothing is done soonest, we will start losing these courses to ‘ma plot’. We have really beautiful courses from Livingstone all the way up to Mbala.

Golf has many economic spin offs such employment creation, advertising, corporate sponsorship, tourism and other amenities which accompany the sport.

We can do it !
