President Hakainde Hichilema has with immediate effect removed, acting on recommendations contained in the report presented to him by the Judicial Complaints Commission, removed JUDGE Sunday Bwalya Nkonde SC from office.

The removal of the said puisne judge is in exercise of the powers vested in the president in Article 144 (5) (b) of the Constitution of the Republic of Zambia.

This announcement was made public through a press release by the President’s Spokesperson Mr Anthony Bwalya.
