Imanga Wamunyima, the Member of Parliament for Nalolo, has revealed that a significant portion of the upcoming projects set to be launched in his constituency are focused on water infrastructure.
Wamunyima highlighted that these projects will feature innovative solar-powered water pumping systems, showcasing a commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly solutions.
Addressing the media in Lusaka, Wamunyima emphasized that the primary objective of these projects is to mitigate the impact of drought on local farmers and essential public facilities.
The Member of Parliament stressed that the immediate focus is on the installation of industrial boreholes to ensure a reliable and consistent water supply for the community.
Wamunyima further mentioned that the agricultural sector, which has been severely affected by the drought, is expected to receive significant benefits from these water projects, particularly in enhancing irrigation practices for crop cultivation.
