The Zambia Police Service extends its gratitude to the Republican President and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Force, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, and the government of the Republic of Zambia for their unwavering support towards Mr. Mubita Nawa, Deputy Commissioner of Police for Administration, in his bid for the position of INTERPOL Secretary General.
We would also like to express our appreciation to the people of Zambia, stakeholders, and the media for their tremendous support in endorsing Mr. Nawa’s candidature.
Furthermore, we would like to acknowledge INTERPOL for providing the opportunity for our candidate to participate in the selection process.
The organization’s commitment to fostering global police cooperation is commendable, and we eagerly anticipate further collaboration in our shared mission of creating a safer and more secure world.
It is important to note that Mr. Nawa not only represented Zambia but also the entire African continent. As a highly esteemed and internationally recognized police officer who has risen through the ranks within the Zambia Police Service, we are confident that he will excel in future international police positions.
Finally, the Zambia Police Service congratulates Mr. Valdecy Urquiza of Brazil on being selected as the proposed candidate for the position of INTERPOL Secretary General.
