Today, on May 30, 2024, Munir Zulu, Maureen Mubonga, Edith Nawakwi, and Brebner Changala found themselves facing additional charges brought forth by the police. These charges include Espionage, a serious offense that goes against section 3 (c) of the State Security Act chapter 111.
Furthermore, the police have not stopped there, as they have also charged and arrested two Members of Parliament, one of them being Dr. Dan Pule, for the crime of proposing tribal war. This offense is in violation of section 46 chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia, highlighting the severity of the situation.
As the legal proceedings unfold, the suspects are currently being held in police custody, awaiting their court appearance.
