Former Economics Association of Zambia Vice-President, Dr Austin Mwange, is one among those that visited the author to get an autographed copy of the Conversations.
Here below is his feedback after he read the Conversations:
This book ba Amos has made me know the people you interviewed from their own words. They have provided true, faithful, thought-provoking and inspirational testimonies…
I would title this book:
“Encyclopedia Zambianica Volume 1: Original & Contemporary Testimonies of Who-is-Who in Zambia”
Further, I urge Zambians and non-Zambians that the more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.
The testimonies in the book were written when the millennials were just coming on the surface of the earth. So, I urge them to take leave from social media/TV stories and buy the book and read it. This will make them know part of our rich history and heritage…
After reading several books over the years, I can 101% agree with the Roald Dahl (British Novelist, writer, Poet, Screenwriter, Wartime fighter pilot) when he cried out to the British populace:
“So please, oh please, we beg, we pray, go throw your TV set away, and in its place you can install a lovely bookshelf on the wall.”
If you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book. And I think this (the Conversations) will be the right one as it is a book for all classes in society…
It is my culture to carry two books wherever I go: One to read and another to write on. Presently, I am reading ba Amos’ “unputdownable” book so I am with it everywhere like a soldier is with his AK 47 Rifle 24/7 during special military operations.
The one I write on is getting filled faster due to the several lessons I am jotting the down as I read Ba Amos’ new book. I am indeed experiencing the reality of what Walt Disney, an American Entrepreneur, said: “There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Island.”
Thank you ba Amos for making a contribution towards the true education of us the readers of your books. Your books have taught me to know, understand, appreciate public figures and learn from their lives like I was talking to them myself directly – NEVER EVER TO JUDGE PERSONS BASED ON UNTESTED, UNVERIFIED & UNVALIDATED SOCIAL MEDIA REPORTS OR HEARSAY OR GOSSIP…
Therefore, your book can be classified as an education book and will definitely contribute to changing the world, especially, our world – Zambia.
