The Economic Association of Zambia (EAZ) has chosen journalist Tendai Posiana to serve as the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
In a letter addressed to Ms. Posiana, EAZ President Dr. Oswald Mungule explained that the decision was made during a meeting held by the Board of Directors on April 7th.
The Board decided to restructure the role of the National Secretary, including their remuneration, and redirect the monthly salary to the CEO. While the Board aims to hire a new CEO as soon as possible, they have appointed the current Coordinator to fulfill the role in the meantime.
As the Acting CEO, Ms. Posiana will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration, finance, and operations of the EAZ.
She will also be tasked with implementing the decisions made by the Board and collaborating closely with stakeholders to further the organization’s mission.
In her acting capacity, Ms. Posiana will report to both the National Secretary and the Treasurer of the EAZ.
