Jeff Mulenga, a man from Lusaka’s Libala South, reportedly took his own life after shooting his girlfriend, identified as Bwalya, who is 23 years old. She was shot in the abdomen and was quickly taken to the hospital by the Police.
The incident took place on March 26th around 22:00 hours in the Chalala area, according to Deputy Police Spokesperson Danny Mwale.
Following the shooting in Chalala, Police received a report that the suspect had shot himself in the State Lodge area around 23:30 hours.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they found Jeff Mulenga lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound on his chest.
Car keys and a pistol were discovered at the scene, along with his Mazda BT 50 vehicle parked outside a house in the area.
