President Hakainde Hichilema expressed deep sorrow and remorse as he shared the heartbreaking news of the demise of His Excellency President Dr. Hage G Geingob, the esteemed leader of the Republic of Namibia. The President passed away earlier today in Windhoek, Namibia, leaving the nation in a state of profound grief and mourning.

President Hichilema conveyed his condolences and shared this somber announcement on his official Facebook page, emphasizing the immense loss felt by the entire country.

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of a dear friend, a symbol of liberation, a respected diplomat, a prominent African leader, and a beloved elder. During this difficult time, our deepest condolences and prayers go out to his widow, Madame Monica Geingos, and their family.

We also extend our sympathies to the people of Namibia and the entire African continent, who have lost a remarkable individual.

President Hichilema expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of a remarkable individual who was not only a true friend but also a symbol of liberation, a respected diplomat, a prominent African leader, and a beloved elder brother.

In this difficult time, President Hichilema extended his thoughts and prayers to the widow, Madame Monica Geingos, and her family, as well as to the Namibian people and the entire African Continent.

Finally, President Hichilema concluded by offering his heartfelt wish for the departed soul to find eternal peace.
