President Hakainde Hichilema has issued a stern warning, emphasizing that there will be severe repercussions for any failure to fulfill their duties by high-ranking government officials. The President’s message serves as a clear reminder that accountability and responsibility are paramount in ensuring effective governance and the delivery of essential services to the people. With this strong stance, President Hichilema aims to instill a sense of urgency and commitment among government officials, leaving no room for complacency or negligence in their responsibilities.

President Hichilema addressed a gathering of Permanent Secretaries, Controlling Officers, and other esteemed government officials in Lusaka today, emphasizing the crucial need for all public officers to fully embrace and support the government’s mission of bringing concrete advantages to the people. In a powerful display of leadership, he urged everyone present to align themselves with the agenda of delivering tangible benefits, highlighting the importance of collective effort and dedication in achieving this noble goal.

The leader of the nation issued a cautionary statement, emphasizing the importance of avoiding any actions that could impede forward momentum and jeopardize the delivery of commitments made by the government to its people.

President Hichilema expresses his discontent with the prevailing practices that result in the misappropriation of public funds, including the excessive and unproductive travels undertaken by public service employees. He firmly believes that such actions should yield tangible and beneficial results for the nation. The President emphasizes the need for accountability and responsible use of public resources, urging a more efficient and purposeful approach to ensure the country’s progress and development.

President Hichilema has emphasized the need for improved collaboration within the government to guarantee transparency and efficiency in providing services. He recognizes the importance of accountability and wants to ensure that every aspect of governance is well-coordinated. By promoting enhanced coordination, the President aims to create a system where the government is accountable for its actions and delivers services effectively to the people. This approach will not only enhance the overall functioning of the government but also instill a sense of trust and confidence among the citizens.
