The Ministry of health through the Lusaka district direct health office have flagged off the Noval Oral Polio V2 campaign under the theme end polio now reach every child this is in order to undertake the development , implementation and review of community health programs in order to empower individuals and the community to take control of their determinats of health.
And speaking during the flag off ceremony the District Agricultural Coordinator Aswell Chewe Lubungo who represented the District Commissioner Ms Rosa Zulu says the campaign for Lusaka district is scheduled to run from 9th to 14th November 2023.
He states that the vaccination will be implemented through door to door vaccination of children that are under the age of eight .
Meanwhile the councillor of Justin Kabwe ward Mr Mwenya Mulenga who spoke on behalf of the Lusaka Mayor Chilando Chitengala said the Oral Polio vaccination campaign exemplifies the commitment to achieving maximum impact without leaving any child behide and securing a brighter future for the next generation
