Bowman Lusambo, a former member of parliament in Kabushi, has issued a warning about potential protests on the Copperbelt due to ongoing mining challenges. Lusambo has stated that if the government does not address the issues surrounding Mopani and Konkola Copper Mines by June of this year, the people in the region may hold large-scale protests against the government. It remains to be seen how the government will respond to these concerns and whether or not protests will indeed take place.

In response to the mining challenges on the Copperbelt, Mr. Lusambo has issued a warning about potential protests. He expressed his concern about the lack of solutions to these challenges, questioning the promises made by President Hichilema during his time in opposition. It remains to be seen how the situation will be resolved and whether protests will indeed occur.

He acknowledges that the non-operation of Mopani and KCM has caused significant suffering for the people in the region, leading to their unhappiness with him. He has gained this insight through his interactions with the locals in the area.

Mr. Lusambo, a political figure in Zambia, has issued a warning about potential protests on the Copperbelt due to challenges in the mining industry. He believes that the government needs to address these issues in order to prevent unrest among the local population. Additionally, Mr. Lusambo has announced his intention to appeal for the removal of certain benefits for the president, which he believes are too restrictive and need to be revised.

He has also requested that President Hichilema appoint former president Edgar Lungu as a special envoy to China in order to improve relations between the two countries.

He acknowledges that relations between Zambia and China have deteriorated since the Patriotic Front regime, and emphasizes the need for reconciliation. While the government may not openly admit it, Mr. Lusambo believes that addressing these issues is crucial to maintaining stability and preventing further unrest.
