Nalumango’s USA Visit: A Step Towards Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Vice President Mutale Nalumango’s upcoming visit to the United States of America is a significant step towards strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. She will be attending the mid-term review of the SENDAI framework on Disaster risk reduction in New York, which highlights the importance of disaster preparedness and response. This visit not only emphasizes the commitment of both nations towards disaster risk reduction but also opens doors for further collaboration and cooperation in various fields.

Mrs. Nalumango’s visit to the United States is seen as a positive step towards strengthening bilateral relations between Zambia and the US. As part of a delegation of international representatives, she will participate in discussions on disaster management, highlighting the importance of cooperation and collaboration between nations in times of crisis. Zambia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Chola Milambo, has expressed his support for Mrs. Nalumango’s visit and the potential benefits it could bring to both countries.

As part of her itinerary, the Vice President is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech during the leaders’ round table and a national statement during the General debate at the SENDAI framework review meeting. Dr. Milambo, confirmed these details and emphasized the importance of this visit in promoting cooperation and collaboration between the two nations.

Nalumango’s visit to the USA is seen as a significant step towards strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries. In addition to attending meetings, the Vice President is also scheduled to hold a meeting with UN Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammed, which is expected to further enhance cooperation and collaboration between the two nations.

During her visit to the USA, Nalumango aims to strengthen bilateral relations between her country and the United States. One area of focus is disaster risk reduction, as the High Level SENDAI framework on this topic is scheduled for May 17-18,
