The Information and Media Minister, Chushi Kasanda, has reiterated the government’s promise to establish a favorable atmosphere for the development of a liberated and autonomous media.

The Chief Government Spokesperson, Ms. Kasanda, has made a pledge to create an environment that is conducive to the media. She recognizes the importance of a free and independent media in contributing to the development of the nation. The government is committed to supporting the media in their efforts to provide accurate and timely information to the public. This pledge is a step towards ensuring that the media can operate without fear of censorship or persecution.

The government has made a commitment to create a favorable environment for media organizations to operate in. The dedication and determination of media personnel in disseminating information on national matters have been acknowledged and praised by government officials.

During the launch of the 2023 World Press Freedom Day on ZNBC Radio and Television in Lusaka, the government pledged to create a conducive environment for media. Ms. Kasanda made this announcement, emphasizing the importance of press freedom in promoting democracy and transparency.

The government has made a commitment to establish a favorable atmosphere for media operations. The theme for this year’s focus is centered on “Shaping the Future of Rights: Freedom of Expression as a driver for all other Human Rights.” This highlights the importance of freedom of expression as a fundamental human right that serves as a catalyst for the protection of other human rights.

The government has made a commitment to fostering a supportive atmosphere for the media. This was emphasized during the celebration of World Press Freedom Day, which serves as a reminder of the importance of promoting a free, unbiased, and skilled media. The government recognizes the significance of a thriving media industry and is dedicated to creating an environment that encourages its growth.

According to Ms. Kasanda, during President Hakainde Hichilema’s tenure, the media has been able to function without any hindrance or obstruction. This pledge is a positive step towards ensuring freedom of the press and promoting transparency in the country.
