On receiving the great privilege, the President said it was a huge privelege to have been bestowed with such an honour.
The President further thanked the people of Maputo and the rest of Mozambiqueuns for this great recognition.
“We note with great interest the efforts made by the City of Maputo in uplifting the livelihoods of the people by providing many services including sanitation, health and a clean environment throughout the city, through a stable local governance system that is truly participative and democratic. We once more thank Maputo and Mozambique for honouring us,” said Mr. Hichilema.
