PF acting secretary general Nickson Chilangwa has submitted in court that the resignations of Edgar Lungu and Davies Mwila as party president and secretary general are not yet in effect.
The submissions have been made in the High Court in response to Matero Member of Parliament (MP) and PF presidential hopeful Miles Sampa, who is challenging his six-week suspension from the party.
“The resignation of the president of PF party takes effect at the convention after the same is considered by the convention, which is the highest decision-making organ of the party.
