One of the five people who was injured in last Saturday’s fuel tanker explosion along Mungwi Road in Lusaka has died.
According to sources, the deceased identified as David Kapala had suffered 40 degree burns before his demise on Tuesday night.
Management at the University Teaching Hospital-UTH is yet to issue a statement on Mr. Kapala’s death.
On February 25, 2023 scores of people thronged a Zimbabwean Fuel Tanker that had a mechanical failure and begun siphoning the 40,000 litre fuel.
However, tragedy struck when the truck caught fire and in an instant five people were caught in the blaze that did not spare a public bus whose passengers escaped unhurt.
