Luapula Province Minister DERRICKY CHILUNDIKA has announced that beginning Monday next week, all cargo trucks weighing beyond 20 tonnes will no longer be expected to use the Pedicle road as an alternative route.
Mr. CHILUNDIKA has told ZANIS in Mansa that the measures have been taken following consultative engagements between the contractor Sable and the provinces affected.
The Minister however explains that the closure does not affect public service passenger buses, as they will continue to use the Pedicle road during this period.
