Kelvin Kamayoyo, Zambian Economist, Scholar and BuyZed Chief Technical Advisor has noted that there is need to do more in preserving the Zambezi River because its good healthy and sustainability has positive trickle-down-effects on varied economic sectors, supports welfare of wildlife, and simultaneously contributes to human livelihoods. Water is life and water is valuable.
Essentially, the Zambezi River is not supposed to be disturbed along its pathways when undertaking its majestic journey from the source at Kalene hills in North-Western Province, Zambia to Indian Ocean in Mozambique. Besides each one of us has a natural responsibility to contribute to battling climate change and utilise resources sustainably so as not to negate the environment nor compromise future consumption.
