In his message, the Minister conveyed deepest condolences to the Dos Santos family, the Government and the people of Angola on the death of the former President.
Minister Kakubo noted that President Dos Santos will be remembered for ending the long civil war in Angola and bringing peace and stability to the country.
“These noble efforts were significant and have found resonance in Angola’s roles as Chair of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR). His contribution towards strengthening the Angolan economy will not go unnoticed as well as efforts towards policy reform particularly, economic reforms which continue to be appreciated today,” Minister Kakubo’s message read in part.
Minister Kakubo prayed for God’s comfort for the bereaved family and the Angolan people.
President Dos Santos, 79, passed way on 8th July, 2022.
