The Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has arrested six people for trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances contrary to the Laws of Zambia.
In Lusaka, the Commission has arrested Kevin Sissby Kaaya, a male aged 41 years of Obama Area for trafficking in 6.4 Kilograms of heroin.
DEC Public Relations Officer Mathias Kamanga says the suspect was arrested at Intercity Bus Terminus after he was found with the contraband that was concealed in packs of coffee creamer and baking flour.
He said the drugs came into the country from South Africa.
And the Commission on the Copperbelt Province has arrested James Malele, a male aged 36 of House No. 1988 in Chimwemwe Compound for trafficking in 4 sacks of cannabis with a total weight of 40kg.
