Minister of Health Sylvia Masebo has urged women to be action oriented and be proactive in a positive way in claiming leadership positions.
Ms. Masebo says women have continued to face numerous barriers that inhibit equal and effective participation and leadership be it government institutions, academia or civil society.
Speaking during the launch of women in global health chapter and the women in global health strategic plan for the 2022 to 2027, the Chongwe UPND MP urged women to rise up and fight for what is duly theirs instead of complaining and looking for sympathy.
And Country Director for Women in Global Health Zambia Chapter Dr. Choolwe Jacobs said the organization’s objective is to create a platform that will remind women to seize the opportunity and achieve more in the health sector.
