Lusaka, Zambia – The National Council for Construction (NCC) has announced the passing of Dr. Francis Mwape Ndillia, a towering figure in Zambia’s construction sector and a foundational leader of the NCC. Dr. Ndillia, whose career spanned decades, was instrumental in shaping Zambia’s built environment and played a pivotal role in establishing Construction Councils across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. His leadership as the first Board Chairperson of the NCC laid the groundwork for the institution’s growth and influence in the construction industry.

Beyond his public service, Dr. Ndillia’s legacy lives on through Ndillia Associates, a firm that continues to contribute significantly to national development projects. His unwavering dedication to professionalism and innovation earned him widespread respect among peers and stakeholders.

In a statement, the NCC Board, Management, and Staff expressed their profound sorrow, extending heartfelt condolences to the Ndillia family, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of working alongside him. “Dr. Ndillia’s contributions were immeasurable, and his absence will be deeply felt,” the statement read.

As the nation reflects on his remarkable life and achievements, the construction sector mourns the loss of a true pioneer. Dr. Ndillia’s work remains a lasting testament to his commitment to Zambia’s progress.

May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
