Lusaka, 22nd April 2025 – Vubwi Town Council received formal recognition today during a special photo session at Parliament’s Robinson Nabulyato Committee Room, following its exemplary assessment by the Parliamentary Committee on Accounts of Local Authorities.
Presiding over the session, Mangango Member of Parliament Hon. Mwene Luhamba commended the council for its outstanding project implementation and transparent financial management. The committee’s review highlighted Vubwi’s efficient use of resources and non-controversial reporting, distinguishing it as a model for local governance.
“Vubwi Town Council has demonstrated remarkable commitment to development and accountability,” stated Hon. Luhamba. “Their performance places them alongside other high-achieving councils such as Kafue, Kalulushi, and Lumezi.”
The celebratory session underscored the government’s dedication to acknowledging excellence in local administration and promoting best practices across Zambia’s town councils.
