One YeYe lnternational has undeniably shown a unique talent and admirable innovation aimed at fostering cultural heritage integration and strengthening people-to-people social cohesion in Zambia and beyond, said Dr. Kelvin Kamayoyo, Zambian Economist and Researcher. One YeYe’s innovation is a true reflection of a Zambian brand and his abilities are immeasurable.
He has unveiled the power of the concept of “geographical indication” which needs to be harnessed to further boost tourism and other local industrial products in the country. The value chain of One YeYe’s talent is multifaceted and firms must monetize this opportunity platform he has created for commercial purposes and growth. Certainly, firms can exploit this platform for advertising, market penetration and brand visibility noting that traditional or cultural ceremonies are commercial epicenters that attract diverse people.
Additionally, One YeYe has added an indelible social footprint in the way traditional ceremonies across the country will be celebrated in the future. Indisputably, he would need support from all stakeholders and communities alike, in order to promote his consistency and sustainability of this initiative. The initiative he has started integrates well tourism, health & wellness, and sport for sustainability and mindset change especially among the youths in the country.
lt is for the aforesaid observations that One YeYe deserves an Award and or special Recognition from Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) during this year’s Silver Jubilee Kuomboka Ceremony, 2025. This notwithstanding, the Zambia National Heritage Commission, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Youth, Sport & Arts, and The World Heritage Committee of UNESCO ought to consider recognizing YeYe and nurture his demonstrated talent or human skills and abilities for the benefit of cultural heritage and growth of the tourism industry in Zambia.
