Strategic Partnerships for Economic Growth

During the high-level engagement, the two leaders discussed mutual economic opportunities in infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, and health. Zambia aims to leverage Egypt’s expertise in these sectors to drive sustainable economic growth and investment.

“Egypt has made remarkable progress in these sectors, and we believe Zambia can benefit immensely from their experience,” President Hichilema stated, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to economic transformation.

Unlocking Trade and Investment Opportunities

A key highlight of the talks was the call for increased trade and investment between Egyptian and Zambian businesses. Both presidents underscored the importance of joint public-private partnerships that will foster economic diversification and job creation in both countries.

Historic Agreements Signed

The engagement culminated in a joint press briefing, where both leaders witnessed the signing of multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at reinforcing economic collaboration. These agreements pave the way for actionable investment projects that will benefit businesses and citizens alike.

Strengthening Diplomatic Ties

Expressing deep appreciation, President Hichilema extended his gratitude to President El-Sisi for the warm invitation and commitment to fostering stronger Zambia-Egypt relations.

“As we move forward, we remain dedicated to translating these agreements into tangible projects that will transform lives and create new economic opportunities for our people,” President Hichilema affirmed.

What This Means for Zambians

✔ New trade and investment opportunities
✔ Stronger infrastructure and agriculture collaborations
✔ Potential for increased tourism and healthcare advancements
✔ Expanded job creation through joint ventures
