📍 Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema has arrived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, this morning from Tokyo, Japan, to participate in the high-level East African Community (EAC) and Southern African Development Community (SADC) Joint Heads of State Summit on the ongoing Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) conflict.

This crucial gathering brings together regional leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to deliberate on lasting solutions for peace and stability in the DRC. The conflict has been a major concern for both EAC and SADC, prompting urgent diplomatic interventions to foster security, economic development, and regional cooperation.

As Zambia continues to play a key role in regional diplomacy, President Hichilema took a moment to extend Sabbath blessings to the nation and beyond, urging unity and continued prayers for peace.

“Wishing you all a blessed Sabbath, and we sincerely appreciate your prayers,” he shared.

Zambia remains an active contributor to peace initiatives across Africa, advocating for diplomatic engagement, economic stability, and humanitarian support for affected communities in the Eastern DRC.

With President Hichilema’s participation, Zambia reinforces its commitment to collaborative solutions that ensure a peaceful and prosperous future for the region.
