The meeting highlighted the mutual commitment of Zambia and Lesotho to strengthen trade and investment ties across Africa. Both leaders expressed their shared vision for enhancing intra-Africa trade and unlocking opportunities that will bolster economic growth within the continent.

President Hichilema emphasized the importance of fostering unity and collaboration among African nations, particularly in light of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which presents unparalleled opportunities for seamless trade across borders. Similarly, King Letsie III echoed his dedication to promoting sustainable economic partnerships that empower both nations.

“Trade and investment are the lifelines of economic growth, and Africa must continue to embrace intra-Africa trade to achieve self-reliance and prosperity,” stated President Hichilema in his remarks.

The bilateral discussions also aligned with the broader goals of the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit, a gathering designed to explore innovative energy solutions and sustainable economic development for Africa.

As the meeting concluded, President Hichilema expressed gratitude for the camaraderie and collaboration between Zambia and Lesotho, saying, “May God bless our two nations.”

This high-level meeting underscores Zambia’s proactive leadership on the global stage and commitment to fostering partnerships that elevate Africa as a whole. Both nations are poised to leverage this renewed relationship for mutual prosperity.
