President Hakainde Hichilema has departed for the United Republic of Tanzania to participate in the highly anticipated Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit. The event, hosted by Her Excellency President Samia Suluhu Hassan, seeks to address key energy challenges and opportunities across the African continent.
In a statement released prior to his departure, President Hichilema emphasized the significance of the summit in fostering dialogue and collaboration on energy solutions for Africa.
“Fellow citizens, we have departed for the United Republic of Tanzania to attend the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit, at the invitation of Her Excellency President Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the Sister Republic of Tanzania,” he said.
The Summit will bring together influential leaders from across Africa, focusing on strategies to enhance energy security, promote renewable energy investments, and develop sustainable energy policies that drive economic growth.
President Hichilema also highlighted plans for bilateral discussions with other Heads of State during the Summit, stating, “On the sidelines of the Summit, we will engage in bilateral discussions with fellow Heads of State on issues of shared interest, both within the continent and the region.”
