Lusaka, Zambia – In a significant gathering at the Anderson Kambela Mazoka House, the United Party for National Development (UPND) leaders and general membership from Lusaka Province convened to discuss the party’s future and ongoing efforts. The meeting, led by President Hakainde Hichilema, emphasized the importance of continued party mobilization and spreading the UPND message far and wide.
During the meeting, President Hichilema called on all members to actively engage in explaining the positive changes the UPND government has achieved and the many more improvements yet to come. He highlighted the crucial role the party has played in their current positions of power, stating, “Without the UPND, we would not be in the Presidency today, and there would be no Minister, PS, Mayor, Council Chairperson, or indeed councillor, including appointed government workers from UPND.”
President Hichilema urged members to hold the UPND party dear to their hearts and to embrace their roles in the public sector with dedication and commitment to delivering on voters’ expectations. He expressed pride in the UPND officials across the country who have held the party together for 23 years, enduring numerous challenges.
