In a recent development, Morgan Ngo’na, the Secretary General of the Party, has issued a press statement addressing the claims made by former Party President Hon. Miles Sampa. Sampa has purportedly expelled Hon. Anthony Mumba, MP for Kantanshi constituency in Mufulira, and the National Chairman of the Party.

Ngo’na has dismissed this expulsion with the contempt it deserves, citing several reasons:
- Hon. Sampa was himself expelled from the Party earlier this year in June for making similar decisions.
- A restraining court order is still in force against Sampa, preventing him from making such decisions.
- Sampa is liable to be cited for contempt of court.
- His name does not appear on the current records at the Registrar of Societies as an office bearer.
In light of these points, Ngo’na has declared the expulsion null and void, stating that Sampa has no legal standing in the Party to make any decisions.
