Taking over from Sylvia Masebo, who was reassigned to the Ministry of Lands in a similar role, Dr. Muchima has vowed to conduct thorough investigations into the procurement of drugs and essential medicines to root out any instances of malpractice and corruption that may have plagued the ministry in the past.
Dr. Muchima has stressed the significance of transparency and accountability in managing health resources, emphasizing the need for stringent scrutiny and reforms to ensure efficient service delivery to the people of Zambia.
In response to concerns raised by international partners and donors regarding recent events at the Ministry, Dr. Muchima has reassured that funds allocated for various health programs will be safeguarded, as he commits to upholding strict financial management practices.
