Police officers paid a visit to the home of Nkana Member of Parliament, Honourable Binwell Mpundu yesterday.
The visit was prompted by a police call notice issued on June 6, 2024, requesting Honourable Mpundu to appear at the police station on Friday, June 7, 2024. Unfortunately, Honourable Mpundu decided to disregard the notice.
As a result, the police had to visit his residence this morning. Later in the day, around 16:00 hours, Honourable Mpundu, accompanied by his lawyer Makebi Zulu, finally showed up at the police station.
Following a thorough interview, Honourable Mpundu was allowed to leave. The police commend his eventual cooperation and emphasize the importance of promptly adhering to official notices for a smooth legal process.
This information was shared in a statement by Rae Hamoonga, the Police Public Relations Officer, as reported by Melo Media from the Zambia Police Service Facebook Page.
