Brebner Changala, a prominent Civil Rights Activist, has successfully obtained bail after being held in custody alongside FDD Leader EDITH NAWAKWI and three others.
The charges against them include Espionage, Proposing Tribal War, Sedition, and Hate Speech. The decision to grant bail was made by Lusaka High Court Judge Geoffrey Mulenga, in response to Mr. Changala’s application for bail and Habeas Corpus.
This constitutional bail allows Mr. Changala to be released on his own recognizance until his court appearance for the Espionage and Hate Speech charges.
Joining him in facing these charges are LUMEZI Member of Parliament, Munir Zulu, Mfuwe Parliamentarian Maureen Mabonga, and Christian Democratic Party – CDP Leader Dan Pule.
