Guntila Muleya, the former General Manager at Multichoice Zambia, has been appointed as the new Director General of the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) starting from May 6th, 2024.
This decision was made by the Board of Directors of IBA. Chikosola Chuula, the Chairperson of the Board, announced that Mr. Muleya will be taking over from Ms. Josephine Mapoma, who had been in the position since the establishment of the Authority in 2013 until 2023.
Mr. Chuula emphasized Mr. Muleya’s impressive academic background, which includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Copperbelt University (CBU) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Management Strategy from the University of Zambia (UNZA).
During his time at Multichoice Zambia, Mr. Muleya held various roles and achieved significant milestones such as successfully leading the digital migration of GOtv service and the establishment of Zambezi Magic.
As the CEO of SEEDCO Zambia, he also demonstrated his expertise in driving business transformation and operational efficiency across multiple countries.
