We regret to inform the public about the unauthorized posting of Mr. Kalabas’ photo on social media alongside a male individual, as stated by Nzeba Chanda, the Public Relations Officer at UTH-Adult.
Right from the time of admission, we have consistently emphasized the importance of privacy and confidentiality in line with the UTH-ADULT patients’ rights Charter.
It is crucial to highlight that the sharing of this image violates the patient’s rights, as it was not approved by the hospital’s Public Relations office and the patient did not provide consent.
The hospital has initiated an investigation into this incident, and updates will be provided to the public as per the statement released by Nzeba Chanda, the Public Relations Officer at UTH-Adult.
