Yesterday, we had the honor of witnessing the annual Kuomboka ceremony, graced by the presence of Their Majesties King Lubosi Imwiko II and Chitimukulu Kanyanta Manga II, alongside various traditional leaders from different regions, as highlighted by President Hakainde Hichilema.
In a world filled with diversity, events like the Kuomboka ceremony serve as a reminder of our shared heritage and unity as a nation, transcending differences and bringing us together as one cohesive entity, as emphasized by the President.
President Hichilema emphasized that diversity should not be a source of division but rather a unifying factor, drawing parallels to the concept of “One Body but Many Parts” from 1Corinthians 12:12, highlighting the importance of embracing our differences.
The President believes that cultural exchanges and collaborations among traditional leaders play a crucial role in promoting unity and understanding among our people, fostering a sense of togetherness and mutual respect for each other’s heritage.
It is through such initiatives that we can continue to strengthen the bonds within our nation, celebrating our diversity while working towards a common goal of progress and prosperity for all citizens.
