Information and Media Minister Cornelious Mweetwa recently made an announcement regarding President Hakainde Hichilema’s upcoming attendance at the Kuomboka traditional Ceremony of the Lozi Speaking People of Western Province in Limulunga this weekend.
During a Media engagement, Mr. Mweetwa extended an invitation to the entire nation to join the president in participating in the ceremony scheduled for this Saturday, emphasizing the significance of this cultural event.
He emphasized that for the UPND government, events like Kuomboka hold great importance as they serve as a platform for unity and peace among the people of Zambia, fostering a sense of togetherness and harmony.
The minister highlighted that the government views traditional ceremonies as an opportunity to not only celebrate the country’s rich heritage but also to promote tourism, showcasing Zambia’s cultural diversity and natural beauty to the world.
