Christopher Shakafuswa, a member of parliament for Mandevu under the PF party, has joined the chorus of voices praising President Hakainde Hichilema and his government for their achievements.

The impact of the increased Constituency Development Fund (CDF) is evident in the various developmental projects benefiting citizens across the country, making it hard for critics to remain silent.

In Mandevu Constituency, the government has completed the construction of two classroom blocks at a cost exceeding K1.6 million, showcasing their commitment to education and infrastructure development.

The Lusaka City Council, on behalf of the government, has handed over a 1 X 3 classroom block at Justine Kabwe Secondary School and another at Kabanana Primary School, both in Mandevu, further emphasizing the focus on education.

The funds allocated from the CDF for these projects highlight the government’s dedication to investing in education and providing quality infrastructure for schools in the region.

During the handover event, Shakafuswa commended the government for prioritizing education and empowering young people through initiatives like the construction of classroom blocks and sponsorship of skills development programs.

The sight of the newly constructed classrooms filled with desks brought joy to Shakafuswa, emphasizing the importance of education in securing a brighter future for communities.

Lusaka district commissioner Rosa Zulu also highlighted the government’s commitment to improving the quality of education in the country through initiatives like the handover of classroom blocks, showcasing the passion of the UPND-led government for education.

The government’s commitment to education and the development of educational infrastructure is seen as a crucial step towards ensuring the future success and prosperity of the community, according to a statement made by an official. By investing in education, the government is laying a strong foundation that will benefit the community in the long run.

Nathan Kasune, the education standards officer for Lusaka district, highlighted the positive impact of new classroom blocks on the learning environment. These new facilities will provide a conducive atmosphere for over 5,200 students at Justine Kabwe Secondary School and 6,000 learners at Kabanana Primary Schools. The aim is to create an environment that supports effective learning and enhances the educational experience for students.

Dr. Kasune also emphasized the importance of preventing vandalism and urged learners at the two schools to refrain from any destructive behavior. Additionally, he called for the construction of more educational infrastructure to meet the growing learning requirements. This highlights the need for continuous investment in educational facilities to accommodate the increasing number of students and ensure their educational needs are met effectively.
