During his tour of Luapula Province, Acting Auditor General Dr. Ron Mwambwa conducted inspections of several Constituency Development (CDF) Projects in Mansa, Samfya, and Chembe districts.
However, he expressed his concern about the slow progress of these projects. Specifically, when he visited Senama Level 1 Hospital, he found that the construction of the Mortuary was only at 20% completion.
Dr. Mwambwa urged the Mansa District administration to enhance their monitoring and supervision efforts to ensure timely completion of the project. He emphasized the urgency of completing the projects as the nation eagerly awaited the benefits of utilizing CDF funds, urging contractors to adhere to project timelines.
In addition to the inspection at Senama Level 1 Hospital, Dr. Mwambwa also visited Musaila and Kale combined Schools, as well as Mwewa Primary School Teacher’s houses, which were constructed under the CDF. He expressed satisfaction with the 1 x 3 classroom block at Masaila and the Teacher’s houses, recognizing their contribution to the delivery and advancement of free education.
Dr. Mwambwa acknowledged the importance of these infrastructure developments in supporting the education system.
Furthermore, Dr. Mwambwa took the opportunity to assess the school requisites provided to Samfya Secondary School. He inspected the supply of desktop computers, laptops, rakes, slashers, and other necessary equipment.
This thorough examination ensured that the school had received the required resources to enhance the learning environment and facilitate effective education delivery.
