The Russian Ambassador to Zambia, H.E Dr. Azim Yarakhmedov, had a meeting with the leaders of the United Kwacha Alliance (UKA) at the Russian Embassy. Dr. Yarakhmedov, who is also the Russian Special Representative to COMESA, engaged in discussions with the UKA leaders regarding various important political, governance, and economic matters that are currently affecting the country. Additionally, the meeting delved into the geopolitical issues in Europe and how they are impacting Zambia and the surrounding region.
The UKA leadership was well-represented during the meeting, with Presidents Sakwiba Sikota SC, ULP, Mr. Jackson Silavwe GPZ, Mr. Harry Kalaba CF, Ms. Chishala Kateka NHP, Ms. Saboi Imboela NDC, and Dr. Danny Pule, CDP, all in attendance. These prominent figures from the UKA actively participated in the discussions, sharing their insights and perspectives on the prevailing issues.
Accompanying H.E Dr. Yarakhmedov were Mr. Sergey Popov, Minister-Counsellor, Mr. Grigory Makarov, Counsellor, and Ms. Natalia Tereshenko from the Russian Embassy.
