Tragedy struck as a road traffic accident unfolded, claiming the lives of 15 individuals who were en route to lay to rest the late Fr. Andrew Victor Mwewa Nkobola of the Anglican Church.
The incident occurred at the mbaso area, where three vehicles were involved in the collision while passengers were making their way from Mansa to Chipili. Among the vehicles were a Toyota Hilux, which carried the solemn coffin, a Vits car, and a Fuso truck.
Sadly, six passengers lost their lives instantly, while numerous others sustained severe injuries. In light of this devastating event, a heartfelt plea was made to the Mansa community, urging them to visit Mansa General Hospital to identify any victims who may have had relatives headed to the funeral.
