In order to achieve this goal, African Rivers plans to collaborate closely with the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) by working in partnership with Line Ministries and Agencies such as the Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation (MWDS) and the Ministry of Green Economy and Environment (MGEE). Additionally, African Rivers aims to engage with key organizations like the Zambezi River Authority (ZRA), Zambezi Watercourse Commission (ZAMCOM), and various Cooperating Partners (CPs) responsible for the management of water resources, wildlife conservation, and the protection of rivers, lakes, streams, and tributaries not only in Zambia but also throughout Africa.
Furthermore, their aim is to establish and strengthen partnerships with the United Nations (UN) Family and other comparable global organizations worldwide in order to actively support Zambia’s endeavors in achieving the Vision 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This will involve actively engaging with these organizations to foster collaboration and exchange knowledge, resources, and expertise. By working closely with the UN and other international entities, they seek to maximize their impact and make meaningful contributions towards Zambia’s long-term development goals.
